Abstract

Professor Tully and his grad students had a vision to transform the interactions between humans and robots. Powered by Professor Tully’s new neural building block, the neurite, the team would create two new robot’s, affectionately named Adam and Eve, to demonstrate the empowerment of a robot that has true free will. Unfortunately, there was philosophical disagreements in the design choices between Professor Tully and a few of his grad students. This would lead to a fundamental change in Adam and Eve forcing the team to decide to destroy the robots and start over, or isolate them for safety and let the grand experiment continue. BotWorld – The Beginning explores these difficult choices and lets the reader experience the world of intelligent design and the joy and consequences of the designer’s choices.
